Ken Baker: Children's Author: Ebooks vs Printed Books Part 1
I thought this was a really interesting article about the need for Ebooks. Watch my blog for an exciting announcement this month concerning eBooks specialized apps for iPhones/iPads.

2011 Picture Book Marathon Starts Tomorrow
I am participating in this year's Picture Book Marathon. It begins tomorrow. So watch my blog throughout the month of February for daily posts of a new picture book each day. It'll mainly just be a draft of an idea or at least a title and cover illustration. I think I may be crazy to do this because I'm so darn busy right now...but hey, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?

Great Review
I was soooo excited to receive this review from School Library Journal for my book, "Tickle, Tickle! Itch, Twitch!" I don't think I could have received a better one. Yea!
Editorial Reviews
From School Library Journal
PreS-Gr 1–Olson has created a book that just begs to be read aloud. Gus is enjoying a lazy summer day when a little mouse sneaks up behind him and tickles his back with a feather, causing a very big itch that the groundhog needs to scratch. He grabs a stick–and then realizes that it's a snake. The mouse continues to torment him, and each time Gus reaches out for help to scratch his back, he is surprised by another animal. This story is simple and repetitive, allowing for audience participation and many different storytelling techniques such as reader's theater or flannel-board retelling. Young children will enjoy the simple and silly humor and the bright, colorful illustrations that fill the pages. In fact, the art on the dedication page starts telling the story before the actual text begins. An excellent choice for story times.–Lora Van Marel, Orland Park Public Library, IL.

Watch Me Paint REALLY fast!
By the way, this is a mirror image of me working (for some reason that's the way my camera took it). I am not left handed. I wish I could paint equally well with either hand. But alas, tis not the case.
