Illustration Friday: Snap
This is an illustration of a mother about to SNAP! ...it's always at dinner time...everything comes crashing down. Drawn from a little personal experience here obviously. Luckily, I have a husband who's great to take over for me at these times. Thanks, sweetie!
Here I show the sketch scanned in and tinted brown. Then I painted in in Painter. I'm still trying to get more used to it and make it look more real. I think the real thing (watercolor) still can't be matched.

ReplyDeleteI love your take on "snap", a house full of kids is a perfect example! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I love your colors a lot.
ReplyDeleteYour work is really awesome - I wish I could draw more realistically sometimes. And I've totally been in this situation too, with my two kids!
ReplyDeleteoh you are so right! and that last hour before my husband comes home is the longest of the day! Your illustration of that feeling is perfect! : )
ReplyDeleteHehehe... I know it's not the same, but I've been there with my nieces and nephews... It's amazing how they could be so cute and annoying at a time ;)
ReplyDeleteYour illo (and sketch) is gorgeous!

Thanks for your comments. Sometimes I like my sketches better than my finishes. I guess I just need to become a better painter.
