Adorable, Julie. Nice subtle touches with the white pencil. Great work.
ReplyDeleteTHis is beautiful and very precious!
ReplyDeleteHe is cute indeed! I like the roundness of the lines you need to use to draw a baby's portrait and this one is great!
ReplyDeleteThat's really nice, with the contrast between the highlights and the dark eyes and other spots.
ReplyDeleteOh wow! What a lovely happy illustration! Nice white touches, have to try that!

fer cute!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I need to do that with my own children, though portraiture has never been my strong suit. Very nicely done. And good luck on your latest publications. Sounds like a busy time.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ken. A tip- don't approach it as a portrait...just as a drawing and use all the same techniques...measure spatial relationships, proper shading, etc. Thanks for visiting.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful portrait! I also love using toned paper.
